Prestigious Industry Award Recognizes Fintech Companies with Significant Company Growth

SAN FRANCISCO – February 12, 2020 — Today, Forbes announced that Plastiq, the intelligent payments solution for businesses, has been named to its 2020 Fintech 50 list of the most innovative companies in the fintech industry. The list includes the top 50 innovators who are changing how people save, spend and invest. Plastiq was selected due to its groundbreaking business offerings and strong growth over the past year at a faster pace than its competitors.

Plastiq has revolutionized how its more than 1 million SMBs and other customers optimize working capital by enabling them to pay or accept payment for anything with a credit card, even where credit cards are not accepted. Payments can be distributed in whichever manner the biller prefers, whether via check, wire transfer or ACH transfer. The intelligent platform provides insight into SMBs’ payments, cash flow and working capital, allowing them to efficiently manage resources across any industry supply chain.

“From the beginning, Plastiq has sought to reimagine payments, providing SMBs with the working capital they need to maximize profits and scale by enabling them to pay any expense via credit card,” said Eliot Buchanan, CEO and co-founder of Plastiq. “The business demand for optimizing working capital has driven our significant SMB customer growth during the past year, and it is an honor to see our innovative work recognized through inclusion on this prestigious list from Forbes.”

To compile the Fintech 50 list, Forbes looks for companies making industry-changing innovation, which often means companies that are regularly releasing new products or features or making big strategic improvements. Forbes excludes public companies from the list, and candidates must have operations, customers or impact in the U.S. but do not have to be headquartered there.
