With Plastiq’s new Payment Request feature, businesses can now send payment requests for individual payments.
Useful for one-time charges, like a request on an invoice or payment for a single instance good or service, sending a payment request can be done in one easy step.
From the Payment Request page, which is under the Payment Management section of the Business Portal, simply type in the customer’s email address, the amount you’d like to request, and a memo.
Clicking on the “Submit Payment Request” button will initiate an email to the customer with the details of your payment request.
Once the customer clicks on the button to pay your business, they’ll be prompted to add their preferred card of choice and submit the payment. The dollar amount and memo are pre-filled for their payment, making the payment process even more convenient.
Payments submitted through the Payment Request feature are then processed like any normal Plastiq payment to your business.
